Many of our invitations have a postcard-like design and are enclosed in a plain white or solid-colored envelope. Our engagement invitations, for example, have this postcard design with a wedding-related graphic, such as a wedding ring, on the invitation with all of the necessary information. In the case of an engagement party invitation, this information is the announcement of the engagement with the location of the restaurant for the engagement party, the date, and RSVP information. Bridal shower invitations and Save the Date invitations have a similar postcard format with simple wedding-related graphics. While both of these types of invitations are enclosed in a solid color envelope, a bridal shower invitation is often written by the bridesmaids and has a specific wedding illustration, such as a drawing of a bride or a wedding cake. Save the Date cards, on the other hand, are invitations to remind the wedding guests of the upcoming ceremony and a formal wedding invitation is sent out later.
But what if you don’t have time to plan a formal wedding invitation? Another option to announce your ceremony is with a casual wedding invitation or a Seal N Send invitation. Seal N Send wedding invitations have the ornate quality of many custom wedding invitations, but the card is a one-piece format of an envelope that folds out into an invitation with RSVP card and wedding reception information. Casual wedding cards, although announcing the same information, have the same postcard format, but, in our selection of casual wedding cards, not all designs are specifically for weddings. For example, some of our casual wedding invitations are used as announcements of a recent wedding, such as a quick Las Vegas wedding, or they’re used as an announcement for a wedding anniversary.
